My Wife Is The Best

As it is a common known fact to everyone who has ever come in contact with Gena she is a true knock out. Fortunately for me, I have the privilege of sharing my life with her. So that being my privilege I am going to write a few lines about her.

As you can see from the picture posted above she has made a change in her hair style and added some bangs. As if she wasn't hot enough already. You all have to agree with me on this one.....A true knock out....way past a perfect 10. You name the rating scale and she will come out on the top every time! Bangs or not, although we are both in love with the new look.

Gena possesses a sincere desire to help others be better and feel better about themselves. She does this both physically and emotionally. Physically she really enjoys teaching kick boxing, as you can see from the killer hook shot she is demonstrating above. She gets a lot of satisfaction as she helps people get into shape. Yes I have to watch my p's and q's or I may feel the brunt of one of these! She also loves doing hair and make up to make people beautiful. Which if I might add she is very talented at! These are some examples of the physical things she does to make others feel good, but what is even better than that is the unending compliments and words of encouragement she is always spreading around to her friends and people she doesn't know. For example it is not an uncommon experience to be out to dinner with her and for her to comment to me on how she likes someones hair style, or article of clothing. Now most of us just leave it at that...not Gena, without missing a beat she heads directly over to the person and tells them. It is truly a priceless experience to see the smile that always erupts on both of their faces.

Not only is Gena beautiful but she has helped to create 2 beautiful children who love her very much. I will admit that 9 times out of 10 when they get hurt or it is time for bed they both prefer to have their mom! Thank goodness though they will settle for dad sometimes!

I know some may think that I am bragging......and so be it, I may, but can you blame me... I could go on and on, but she is napping and I am supposed to be entertaining the children. Hence I had better get at. Babe, this is merely scratching the surface as to the depth of reasons I am head over heals completely in love with you!!!!!

Just for kicks cause I have a lot of free time to make crap!

The first THREE people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be a joke book, autographed picture of myself, handmade bag, or a little invention of my own! I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows?
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
Believe me... it may blow your mind!

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!

Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun, right? So, let's play!

Oompa Loompas!!!

Last Friday Ainslee and Nolan watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Nolan was terrified of the oompa loompas! Not just scared, totally and completely terrified. He now wakes up crying from his naps screaming, "Dos green guys will get me". He even cries when you mention the movie. Yesterday Ainslee was chasing him around the house with the DVD case and got sent to her room. Needlees to say I put the movie up, and no body will be enjoying this classic until Nolan has fully recovered. He has not fallen asleep out of Jeff's lap in three days and Saturday afternoon he crawled out of his crib...GURRRR. I guess I have riden the ride long enough. Ainslee crawled out of her crib at 11 months causeing us to put a lock on the outside of her door.

Just a side note....for those of you who know what a great speller I am I wasn't sure how to spell oompa loompa. With Nolan on my lap I googled it and picture came up onto the screen. I threw my hands over his eyes started laughing and got the spelling correct. Oh what fun to be a mom.

Slacker

So what can I say I have been a slacker. I can attribute it to many things. First, Christmas. We had a great Christmas morning alone and Gma and Gpa Burns along with Matt came that afternoon to visit for a week. It was really cold but Jerry and Jeff went to work and built the kids an amazing play house...photos will come when I can find where Nolan put the camera. It was great having them here. Nolan with his overly extensive vocabulary asked Grandpa at breakfast one morning,
"Gampa, you got a dog"
"No"
"Do you got a cat"
"No"
"Do you got hot coco"
"Yes"
"Do you got ceal" (cereal)
"Yes"
"OK I come to your house"
That's my boy checking out the options before he decides to go anywhere.

January came and went before I knew it today was Ainslee's Valentines day party at school. I have been unusually busy for this time of year with hair. Normally after Christmas there is a lull in the hair world, but not this year and let me tell you I needed it!. I woke up New Years day to find out I didn't have a job at Lady of America any more. They closed their doors. Just like that. Packed up and moved out with out telling any body! People in my class were at first mad at me because they thought I knew something about it. Not that we totally depend on that money but it helps a ton with co pays to Dr's and the many prescriptions we have been filling lately. I was really pissed at first. Jeff, being the business man he is, looked at it from their perspective and thought they must have totally been hurting to do such a thing. It took a week or so but I am over it and actually a lot better off. I found a new gym to teach at that pays me twice what I was making, and has a lot better equipment.

So the other thing that has kept me from blogging is...thanks to my mom and sisters....face book. I didn't want to do it...no I didn't. I had already done myspace and started my blog and only wanted to focus on one thing and then they kept asking me to do it...to stay connected with the family. Well wouldn't you know. It's like the myspcae connection allover again accept better. I have gotten in touch with more people and family than ever before. I kind of feel bad for myspace because I know a lot of people that switched over and don't even use it anymore. So now I am doing what I said I wouldn't and spending time on facebook as of late instead of updating my blog, not to mention playing with the kids or cleaning the house. LOL Oh well.

Sorry to say not many picture updates here...as mentioned the camera is MIA. As soon as I find it I will post.
