Redefining Moments

So I have officially left FaceBook...silly how disconnected I already feel. I hated the drama it was causing. I liked the good that came from FB but for now it was too much. So maybe again I will try to blog...I am going to start my own blog. It will still cover family...the kids...events but I need somethings of my own. This will be my own. Stay tuned if you wish.

Lets try this again

So...I started blogging oh what little over three years ago to keep in contact. I kept up for a bit and as I got busier the blog got pushed further and further down on the task list. Same rules go for me as far as starting up again....I don't want any flack for miss spelled words or grammar because we all know, although I have many talents....spelling and grammar are not one of them. See Kristin, there is something I truly suck at. Lol.
As we speak we are on the road...yesterday we loaded the truck with a great deal of help from the ward and dear friends. We were planning on heading out around 3, which surprisingly we were right on time, but then we had to "run by" the Verizon store, as Jeff's phone got crushed in the packing process. It was my lucky day at the Verizon store...buy one get one free...so I got a new Droid phone. It's Internet is really fast and hooks up to my computer so now I am ALWAYS connected...hummmm on second thought not so sure this is a good thing. :)
We only made it as far as Roanoke VA . The kids SUCKED. I am hoping because it was just a long day all in all. But for those of you that don't know, Roanoke is only 200 miles from Woodbridge. Only 2,250 miles left to go! YEAH! I think I am properly stocked up with activities today. I told the kids it was movie, activity, movie, activity...and call us nuts but don't call cps....we are thinking of putting the seats down in the back for a bit so they can have a rasslin match. Teee heee...no really we are.
Why back to Vegas some of you may ask....well because it was time. Jeff's branch needs him and he was going to be traveling a lot. So I got to make the choice...be a "single mom" this summer in the humid heat with allergies and my 9 aerobics classes and 3 days of hair, or move to Vegas...dry heat, pool, hardly no allergies, not so many classes and can focus on family. The choice was easy.
The title of our Blog is so fitting isn't it...the fact that I haven't written in forever and we are once again on the move cracks me up. There will be more to report in the next three days. After this don't expect so many entries...but I will try to keep you all informed.

My Wife Is The Best

As it is a common known fact to everyone who has ever come in contact with Gena she is a true knock out. Fortunately for me, I have the privilege of sharing my life with her. So that being my privilege I am going to write a few lines about her.

As you can see from the picture posted above she has made a change in her hair style and added some bangs. As if she wasn't hot enough already. You all have to agree with me on this one.....A true knock out....way past a perfect 10. You name the rating scale and she will come out on the top every time! Bangs or not, although we are both in love with the new look.

Gena possesses a sincere desire to help others be better and feel better about themselves. She does this both physically and emotionally. Physically she really enjoys teaching kick boxing, as you can see from the killer hook shot she is demonstrating above. She gets a lot of satisfaction as she helps people get into shape. Yes I have to watch my p's and q's or I may feel the brunt of one of these! She also loves doing hair and make up to make people beautiful. Which if I might add she is very talented at! These are some examples of the physical things she does to make others feel good, but what is even better than that is the unending compliments and words of encouragement she is always spreading around to her friends and people she doesn't know. For example it is not an uncommon experience to be out to dinner with her and for her to comment to me on how she likes someones hair style, or article of clothing. Now most of us just leave it at that...not Gena, without missing a beat she heads directly over to the person and tells them. It is truly a priceless experience to see the smile that always erupts on both of their faces.


Not only is Gena beautiful but she has helped to create 2 beautiful children who love her very much. I will admit that 9 times out of 10 when they get hurt or it is time for bed they both prefer to have their mom! Thank goodness though they will settle for dad sometimes!

I know some may think that I am bragging......and so be it, I may, but can you blame me... I could go on and on, but she is napping and I am supposed to be entertaining the children. Hence I had better get at. Babe, this is merely scratching the surface as to the depth of reasons I am head over heals completely in love with you!!!!!
